Anime Blues Con Winterfest Remix

Less of a convention but more of a one day event sponsored by Anime Blues Con. It occurs during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and helps to shake off the winter blues after getting back to normal after winter breaks. 

Midsouth Con

During the third week of March you can shake off the lack of local cons and head to midsouth con. This con offers the largest variety of genres in the entire area. Anime, Scifi, speculative fiction, larping, table top gaming, miniatures, and a Con Suite with free food and drinks for everyone!

Memphis Botanical Gardens Japanese Festival

A one day event presented by the Japanese community of Memphis and hosted at the Memphis Botanical Gardens.  They also host several Japanese culture events and classes such as flower arrangement and tea ceremonies. 

Midsouth Renfaire

Memphis is adding new cons every year it seems. Starting this august for two weekends, during the hottest time of the year mind you, Memphis is hosting a Reniassance Faire in Shelby Farms August 22, 23, 29 & 30, 2015. Let's see how this goes but it has the strictest vendor policies in the region and only allows to sell in character.

Spooky Nights at Shelby Farms

Taking place the ENTIRE month of October, Spooky Nights, takes place at Shelby Farms in East Memphis with a zombie paint ball event, haunted trails, and other activities that are horror themed with vendors of both food and costumes.
